We are looking for an individual to work approximately 10-12 hours per week, have an accounting/bookkeeping background and good organizational skills to maintain the program. SUMMER TIME NEEDS

As you pack your bags for vacation, please consider packing an extra one to drop off on the porch of 472 Poplar Lane (in Whitemarsh Woods of Lafayette Hill). The "baggage handlers" Kathy and Paul Muller will be delighted to deliver all donations to the poor and homeless of the Kensington area. The following items are most needed: Pampers (sizes 4, 5, 6), liquid dish soap (non-generic, please, feminine products,Lysol, sport socks (all sizes), paper towels, Travel-size deodorant, bleach cleaning supplies, disposable razors, toothpaste, multivitamins with iron, sugar, tea bags, coffee, sweetened drink mixes cold, sweetened cereal and jams/jelly.

Food that's In, when school is out!

Nutritional Development Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and local groups sponsor summer nutrition programs for children in need of healthy meals during the summer months. There are over 1000 sites throughout the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Programs are in schools and churches, community and recreation centers, parks, play streets and summer camps. The meals and snacks are free and provide a good source of daily nutrition for children. If you live in Philadelphia go to www.hungercoalition.org or call 311 to find a location. If you live in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, or Montgomery Counties call Nutritional Services at 215-895-3470 to find a site near your home.


EDUCATION PROGRAM PARISH RELIGIOUS
Registration for the Parish Religious Education Program (CCD) is now being taken for 2010-2011. Those registered at Saint Philip's with an incoming child in Kindergarten and Grade 1 already received a letter and registration form. Those currently enrolled have already received their materials. The cost of the program is $150 for one child and $200 for 2 or more children. If you only have one or more children in Kindergarten, the cost is $100. Kindergarten classes are on Sunday mornings from 10:00-10:50 AM. Grades 1-5 have their classes on Monday and Tuesday afternoons from 4:00-5:30 PM. Grade 6 will only meet on Tuesday. Bus transportation is available from Whitemarsh Elementary, Ridge Park, and Colonial Elementary both days for $50 per family. A child needs to attend only one class per week. The day of choice will be limited to the number of children who can ride the bus meeting a safe and legal limit. If you like children, have faith in God, and would like to get involved at Saint Philip's we will supply you with catechetical training, teaching manuals, and resources.
