New Parish Mass Schedules - Starting July 1st

Dear St. Philip Neri Family,

Today, I write to you with a faith-filled message, bringing news of changes in the Mass times for our beloved parish. I have been praying to God, Our Blessed Mother, the angels, and saints asking for grace and wisdom to make the right changes to our parish Mass schedule. Having to reduce the number of Masses has been heavy on my heart. No pastor wants to reduce the number of Mass offered to his parishioners. We are shepherds; and as such desire to feed and protect the people of God entrusted to our care. Change is an inherent part of life, and as we grow and evolve as a parish family, it is essential that we adapt and embrace new opportunities to deepen our spiritual journey together.

Change can often evoke mixed emotions, as we find comfort in familiar routines. For example, getting used to our new Sunday Mass schedule or when other parishioners are sitting in our regular pew. However, remember that our faith is built on the foundation of resilience, openness, and trust in God's divine plan. Just as the early disciples encountered unexpected changes on their path, we too are called to respond with grace and faith. The disciples knew in the midst of change and challenging times, Jesus was always with them.

These changes in Mass times offer us a unique chance to rekindle our devotion and strengthen our connection with Jesus and one another. Let us view this as an invitation from the Holy Spirit to approach our Masses with renewed enthusiasm and a fresh perspective. Embracing change enables us to explore different dimensions of our faith, discover hidden treasures within ourselves, and grow together as a spiritual family.

As we adjust our schedules and adapt to these changes, let us remember that the essence of the Mass remains unchanged. The Holy Eucharist, the heart of our worship, continues to nourish our souls and unite us with Christ in a profound and miraculous way. Through Holy Communion, we find solace, peace, and the strength of God to face any challenges that come our way.

In this time of change, I encourage you to approach the revised Mass times with an open heart and a spirit of anticipation. Let us embrace the opportunity to encounter Christ in a new way, deepen our understanding of the Gospel, and foster a stronger sense of community within our parish family.

Together, let us pray for the guidance of the Holy Spirit, that we may welcome these changes with gratitude, enthusiasm, and a steadfast commitment to growing in faith. May our parish continue to be a beacon of light, love, and unwavering devotion to God's Word.

As we embark on this new chapter together, let us remember the words of St. Paul: "And we know that for those who love God, all things work together for good" (Romans 8:28). With this trust in our hearts, we can face any change with confidence, knowing that God's providence guides us every step of the way.

I consulted with our parish council and pastoral staff to determine the best Mass changes for the spiritual life of our parish.

May God bless you abundantly, grant you peace amidst transitions, and fill your hearts with unwavering faith as we journey together in this time of change. I am praying for you. Please pray for me.

"Cast yourself into the arms of God and be very sure that if he wants anything of you, He will fit you for the work and give you strength." ~St. Philip Neri

Have a blessed day,

Fr. Szparagowski
